THE SAPPHIRE
Pavilion at Time Square Plaza
The Times Square is the landmark of Causeway Bay. An Art-gallery pavilion at such site needs a strong architectural identity to stand.
This proposal does so by combining state-of-the-art design techniques and methods with concepts of sustainability in the creation of a highly functional and spatially exhilarating, iconic building.
Also on the surface material ,a fibre reinforced shell coated with Iridescence paint , which can make full use of light and material between reflection, refraction, diffraction into a wonderful natural colour, is chosen to make the pavilion completely unique when seen in any direction.
